How To Reset Bios Passwordlenovo Ideapad 120s-11iap
Pc download games. Lenovo is one of the most popular computer brands across the globe. And each model made by Lenovo has a basic input / output system (short for BIOS), which is used to manage the basic hardware settings. The most important feature of BIOS is to change the boot order and switch boot modes. This mostly happens when you need to reinstall the OS or boot from external drives such as DVD or USB drive. This would be a dangerous operation if someone accesses your computer without permission. So in order to prevent unauthorized access, Lenovo put two security mechanisms to combat this activity by adding a power-on or BIOS password.
You have to input the correct password when accessing BIOS setup utility after you added a password. This is the same to power-on password, which you have to type the right password after booting. However, this would cause some problem in future if you forgot the BIOS password or power-on password. This is common case as the chances of accessing BIOS is rare. If you didn’t write down the password, then it is quite possible to forget it. Fortunately, there are ways to recover the password. I will tell how to do this in the following parts.
This package provides BIOS Update and is supported on 120S-11IAP Winbook, 120S-14IAP Winbook and running the following Operating Systems: Windows 10 (64-bit).
How To Factory Reset Lenovo Ideapad
Lenovo Ideapad 120s-11iap Factory Reset
I'm new here from Ireland. My Lenovo Ideapad 120S-11IAP has an Intel(R) Celeron (R) CPU N3350 @ 1.1GHZ. I love this little budget laptop and would rather try upgrade the CPU than buy a new laptop. I've already upgraded the hard drive to an a solid state drive and replaced the screen. Its more of a project that I enjoy and would like to give it a go.
Could someone advise:
1) If it's possible to upgrade the CPU on this laptop? I don't know whether it is socketed or surface mounted to the motherboard. If surface mounted I assume it's not possible.
2) If possible, what processors would be suitable? I assume I'll need a processor that doesn't require higher thermal requirements than current 6W.
3) Does the BIOS support better models of CPU than the one currently installed or how do I find this out?
Thanks
